As Managing Director of Falstaff Pty. Ltd., as well as throughout her incredible 40 year career, Valerie has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Falstaff Pty. Ltd. does business as Valerie Travers Embroidery. The company boasts over 3,000 square meters of embroidery, screen printing and manufacturing facilities, plus an in-store shop for customers to browse popular 'off-the-rack' corporate and casual clothing choices, safety gear and promotional items.
Valerie is responsible for managing all major aspects of the business as well as all overseeing the daily operations. She works closely with her team to ensure they continue to learn from her experience, not only to maintain outstanding quality garment production, but also to treat customers like royalty.
Valerie got her start in the industry in the mid 1960's, after a chance encounter visiting her husband Robert in hospital. She started talking to a man in the next bed who wanted to sell his small business. His story inspired her, and although she was brand new to the industry Valerie secured a loan to buy the business and set out to learn the trade with his two existing staff using two old Singer Embroidery machines housed in an upstairs room. Only 18 months after purchasing the business, she had repaid the loan and was well on the way to expansion. Now, over 40 years later, Valerie Travers Embroidery is a major success story.
