Curvy, Sexy, Cool - Plus Size Goes High Fashion

Designer to Hollywood\'s \"Women of Size\" - Abby Z - is making her first trip to the DC metro area. And she\'s as fabulous as ever!

Plus Size Designer Abby Z appearing at Pentagon City Nordstrom on July 30th, 2005

/Apparel - Textile PR News/ - July 29, 2005 - Abby Z, designer of sexy, feel good fashions for plus size women, will be hosting an exciting event in the Nordstrom's Encore department at Pentagon City on Saturday, July 30th, 2005 from 1-4pm. It will be her first appearance in the DC metro area.

Deliciously intoxicating, the Abby Z collection is designed for a lifestyle filled with excitement, adventure and style. The collection is on par with other high end casual lines (i.e. Juicy, Seven) and retails for $168.00 to $348.00.

According to NPD Research, the plus size market is poised to generate $60 billion in revenue this year alone. Despite this market going into overdrive, many premier fashion publications decline to feature fashions suited for a great percentage of their readership. Because of this, few designers are willing to take the industry to task - few designers are like Abby Z.

Abby Z is a fun, contemporary designer who is looking to bring luxury and style to the plus size customer. She makes it known that style isn't predicated on the size of your jeans. Although her line has only been around for a year, it has already become a favorite among plus size celebrities including Queen Latifah (who wore Abby Z on a recent Saturday Night Live appearance), Star Jones, Camryn Manheim, Jill Scott, Carnie Wilson, Emme, Khalia Ali and more. Her designs are so fabulous that even svelte Rosario Dawson couldn't resist picking up an Abby Z skirt to wear around the town.

She has been featured in Glamour, Essence, InStyle, on NBC Nightly News, CBS This Morning and countless other publications/outlets.
